Carlisle Events Goes Green in 2009
Green classification added to the 2009 show season showfield classes
We’re going Green in 2009! Although the famous Carlisle burnout contest may not be the most eco-friendly activity, we are going to off-set that favorite with what we hope will be a new trend at the fairgrounds: the first ever green classification for showfield participants registering for P&S, Import/Kit-Replicar Nationals, All-Ford Nationals, All-GM Nationals, All-Chrysler Nationals or the All-Truck Nationals.
If you have a car or truck that is utilizing new fuel efficient technologies including hydrogen fuel cell, electric, gas-electric hybrids, biodiesel and clean diesel vehicles, from Tesla Roadsters to Chevrolet Suburbans, each will be included into their specialty show! An educational platform that we have successfully used in past years to introduce green technology has been seminars that take place during specialty events. We are planning to add to these presentations and roundtables with topics on building, buying, customizing and maintain fuel efficient cars and trucks.
